Heading into the Perth CBD to buy or sell currency may be very different to what you expect.

  2. Redrate has the good rates of any store to buy popular currencies like US dollars, Yen or Euros but it's hard to find
  3. Travelex has 4 stores in shopping centres across Perth. They also offer online orders for collection in store or at a post office.
  4. Travel Money Oz rates aren't great but their service is solid and their Perth CBD store is well located.
  5. Crown Currency have the most convenient stores in 3 locations. Their service is reasonable but their exchange rates are no as competitve.

Unlike the other major Australian cities, the best place to buy US dollars in Perth is online. Usually you'd find the best deals in the city currency exchange stores but there aren't that many money changers to choose from anymore.

The more US dollars you are buying, the more you can negotiate a better deal when dealing with money changers over the counter.
